Australia's new marine team?

New PM
Australia has a new Prime Minister – one who has a strong record on protecting our oceans.
Will you sign the petition urging Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Deputy Leader Julie Bishop to stand up for our marine life by saving and expanding the sanctuaries suspended by the Abbott Government?
Previously Malcolm Turnbull opposed whaling, supported the Great Barrier Reef, and declared 14 federal marine parks off Victoria and Tasmania. Julie Bishop has championed Australia’s oceans internationally and is a supporter of marine parks.
This is their opportunity to end Abbott’s era of marine neglect – to build on Australia’s proud legacy of marine protection and save our world-leading network of sanctuaries.
The Coral Sea, Lord Howe Island, the Kimberley, Geographe Bay, Perth Canyon and the Great Australian Bight – all are at risk of rollback. But we know the new PM understands the value of these ocean icons to Australia’s identity, reputation and economy.
Let’s make sure Malcolm Turnbull and Julie Bishop hear loud and clear that Australians want to see our sanctuaries restored as soon as possible. Please take a moment to sign the petition today.
