ABC Radio Breakfast: Marine census discovers 1,200 new sea creatures

For the past decade a network of scientists in more than 80 nations has been involved in a mammoth task: a stocktake of marine life in the global ocean. Their efforts have culminated in the world’s first comprehensive Census of Marine Life. It has revealed an abundance of marine life, with 1,200 new species discovered.
